Pond Design
Let us help your idea become a reality. All you need to do is bring us your idea and we can make it a reality within a weekend. For smaller designs you can accomplish your dream in an afternoon. Our staff will advise you on the most efficient equipment available, plus we can keep you well within your budget. Economy carries liner, filters, pumps and plumbing items as well as a wide range of plants and fish. One of the most important bits of information we will need is a rough dimension, say 8'x8'.
You will be greeted by one of our staff who will guide you down that path to the wondrous world of water gardening. Customer satisfaction is guaranteed and a smile on our face is one way we say thank-you.

Pond Construction
At Economy Aquatic Gardens, we have many highly qualified pond construction and maintenance contractors. Ron Stastny, one of our most experienced contractors, performs the majority of our maintenance along with installations. We also work with several other well-known Louisville and Southern Indiana-based contractors including Liquid Landscape, Branching Streams, Custom Aquatics and Mark Foster Landscape Design. When you contact us for a new pond construction project, we will have one of our contractors call you to schedule an appointment where they will provide a free estimate. They will also provide a quote detailing each component to be used in the new pond.

Pond Cleaning
Economy has for 20 years cared for many ponds in the Louisville area. We have 2 convenient locations to better serve your water gardening needs. We offer a zip code sensitive system to expedite the pond cleaning process. All central and southern zip codes will be dispatched out of our Preston location with the eastern zip codes being handled out of our shop located on Bardstown Road at Breckenridge Lane. Got Sick Fish? We Can Remedy That Problem!
Unfortunately our aquatic animals cannot tell us when they are sick. They typically show signs of disease after the winter season. Why? Well the answer is simple. After the winter season their immune system is at it's lowest. And unfortunately because your ponds water is most likely not clear, disease (especially aeromonous) can be more advanced. A more aggressive treatment is recommended at this time. Most other disease can easily be treated and patience is the key.
At Economy Aquatic Gardens we can help. We carry a wide range of medications at all 3 locations and our experienced personnel will advise you on any illness your water pet's experience.
Helpful Hint - If you cannot get a close look at your fish use a pair of binoculars to check for disease. You can take a look from a distance. It really does work!

We Offer Scheduled Pond Maintenance Service
A little care will go a long way. And we can help. Our uniformed professional service company can clean, service and maintain your water garden, now and for years to come. Many of our customers have their ponds maintained yearly (usually in the spring) but we do have several ponds we maintain on a monthly basis. We maintain your plants and monitor your fish during the process and will answer any questions that may arise, making the process comfortable, placing less stress on the ego system or your pond. We are certainly excited about our new capabilities of zip code maintenance from our 2 locations, making our response time outstanding. We have aquatic vacuum rentals. Available for hourly and daily fees we can now show you how "TO DO IT YOURSELF"

Let Us "PLANT" You
Don't be afraid. It's sometimes easier than land planting. You will be amazed at the growth process. If you start with a 1- gallon plant by seasons end the plant will be huge and will need to be split. The typical growth or our marginal plants is at least triple the size, if the proper fertilizer is used. Plus your friends will love you because you will be giving them a lot of your plantings.
At Economy we carry a wide range marginals, floaters, lily's and lotus to name a few. Over 100 verities are offered. Our staff is well versed on aquatic gardening and will help you in all phases of the process. And the best part is that you can never over water these plants.

Let Us Winterize Your Pond
At Economy we would be happy to winterize you pond. We winterize well over 400 ponds each and every year. In the future we can schedule any winterization, keeping you the pond owner out of the cold. If you would like for our staff to advise you on the process we would be happy to do so. Many ponds can be winterized by the pond owner, and a safe close can save time and equipment.
